Hello Quilting & Sewing Family! My name is Melissa and I am a disabled US veteran. My Husband, Scott, and I have both lost our mothers to breast cancer. We hold a very special place in our hearts for all survivors and those whom have lost the fight from cancer, any form of cancer. We will be donating a portion of our proceeds that we receive from our sales every year to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
About Us
My name is Scott and my wife is Melissa. She is a disabled veteran and a 3rd generation hand sewing and quilting adventurist. She has been hand quilting for about 14 years, but had to switch from hand quilting and hand piecing about 10 years ago due to injuries that she sustained during her military career. She was taught to hand quilt by her mother when she was a teenager and her mother was taught as a teenager by her own mother. Melissa has her grandmother’s oval quilting hoops that her grandmother and mother used. Her grandmother made over 50 Double Wedding Ring Quilts during her lifetime and her mother made a variety of quilts over her lifetime. Melissa has made us some very beautiful quilts over the past 4 years and I fell in love with the quilting world as well. I may not quilt or even sew, but I can spot beautiful fabrics and cool notions that I know my wife will love and need. If she loves them, I can rest assure that you will also.
